Scott Dawson Evangelistic Association Ministry Timeline

1987

*The Scott Dawson Evangelistic Association, Inc. (SDEA) was formed as a 501C3 Non-profit, tax-exempt organization.  This organization is led by a group of non-related Christian men who oversee all aspects of ministry, which are called a Board of Directors.  Scott Dawson receives a set salary that is voted on by the SDEA Board.

*SDEA working budget was $3,500.

*The first Student Bible Conference was organized through SDEA and had 89 students present.

1988

*Scott conducted his first R.E.S.P.E.C.T. School assembly.

1989

*SDEA conducted 40 revivals

1990

*SDEA rented office space and hired Dwayne Moore as Associate Evangelist in Music.

*SDEA conducted the first Southeastern Student Bible Conference with 1,000 students in attendance.

1991

*In one year SDEA recorded 5,000 decisions for Christ.

1992

*SDEA Board grew to nine men and Scott was placed on a National Task Force in crusade evangelism.

1993

*The Southeastern Student Bible Conference grew to 2,000 students.

*SDEA recorded over 15,000 decisions for Christ.

*SDEA’s working budget has grown to $145,000.

1994 

*SDEA launched its Vision to reach generations for Christ.

*The Smoky Mountain Student Conference began

1995 

*SDEA conducted its first foreign crusade in Nicaragua. 

1999

*First Pathfinder Missions/Hope For You Crusade (Jackson, MS) with 500 decisions

*Joined w/Luis Palau as Next Generation Alliance Partner Evangelist

*Joined ECFA (Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability)

2000

*Pathfinder Missions/Hope For You Crusade (Knoxville, TN) with over 836 decisions  

2001

*Published Scott’s first book “Dear Lord Why?”

*Pathfinder Missions/Hope For You Crusade (Oklahoma City, OK) with over 900 decisions

2002

*1st Safe at Home, Birmingham over 8,000 in attendance with over 250 decisions for Christ.

*Pathfinder Missions partnered with the Luis Palau Beachfest in Myrtle Beach, SC

*Pathfinder Missions/Hope For You Festival (Crestview, FL) with over 750 decisions

2003

*2nd Safe at Home, Birmingham over 13,000 in attendance with over 900 decisions for Christ

*Troy, AL Hope for You Festival and Pathfinder Missions has over 590 decisions for Christ

*Jasper, AL Hope for You Festival and Pathfinder Missions has over 490 decisions for Christ

*Launched Strength To Stand Conference Website

2004

*Safe at Home Jackson, TN has more than 5,900 in attendance with 140 decisions for Christ

*Safe at Home Columbus, OH has more than 8,000 in attendance with 268 decisions for Christ.

*1st Annual Rick and Bubba Hunting and Fishing Expo with over 1,800 people in attendance and more than 600 decisions for Christ.

*Gulf Coast Mission and Pathfinder Missions has over 8,200 in attendance with 600 decisions for Christ.

*Scott speaks at Falls Creek, OK for two weeks with over 12,000 in attendance and over 1,300 decisions for Christ

*3rd Safe at Home Birmingham, AL with over 10,000 in attendance and 66 decisions for Christ

*Scott receives Honorary Doctorate from Covington Seminary

2005

*The Smoky Mountain Student Conference topped 6000 (largest conference)

*2nd Annual Rick and Bubba Hunting and Fishing Expo with over 1,300 people in attendance and more than 200 decisions for Christ.

*Moved to present office location

*Safe at Home Tampa, FL with over 7000 people in attendance and 88 decisions for Christ

*Safe at Home Winston-Salem, NC with over 2400 people in attendance and 160 decisions for Christ

*Safe at Home Huntsville, AL with 11,541 in attendance and 261 decisions for Christ!

*Pathfinder Missions was conducted in New York City in conjunction with Billy Graham’s final 

*NYC Crusade with 1500 in attendance

2006 

*Scott’s new book “The Complete Evangelism Guidebook” released by Baker Books

*The Smoky Mountain Student Bible Conference reached 7200 in attendance
