Cullman Today: Cullman County GOP Women Feature Scott Dawson & Summer Blalock
The February regular meeting of the Cullman County Republican Women took place Tuesday night at the Cullman VFW.
After small talk among those gathered and a restaurant-quality meal provided by the talented Food Committee, the business portion of the gathering got underway.
Summer Blalock began the formal remarks as the featured opening speaker.
Blalock is the Director of Restoring Women Outreach, Inc. She recently took the reins of this organization from Carol Berry who stepped down to seek the office of 32nd Circuit Judge of Probate.
She provided an emotionally charged testimonial for her organization. Here are some highlights:
The keynote speaker and esteemed guest at this February meeting was the increasingly popular Alabama Gubernatorial candidate, Scott Dawson.
Dawson spent the entirety of Tuesday in Cullman County familiarizing himself with the citizens and making numerous short stops at several locations.
He ended his Cullman Tour at the Cullman VFW.
Dawson’s wife, Tarra, accompanied him to this meeting of the Cullman County Republican Women.
The candidate is one of many in the loaded field of GOP gubernatorial hopefuls.
